In 2002 It opens doors to what would become one of the only Salsicharias Traditional Alentejo, producing sausages to PGI, based on animal Race pigs Alentejan.
Arises Highlander Brand, known for flavor, aroma and own textures Alentejo Breed Pig. Filled as unique as the characteristics of animals that are made.
Present in the market since then, with excellence and rigor products, we have expanded our facilities, and we came to 2 million euros in annual turnover.
Later, with market changes, and with changing consumer demand, production became insufficient, as well as animals available. "Highlander" becomes one of the most respected market Sausages Brands!
2008, First year of certification
2008, First year certification System of Food Quality Management for ISO reference 22000! With assured quality, both products, as the raw materials and processes, we are ready to enter the international market.
In 2013, It became part of the family of one of the largest companies preparing and distribution of meat in the region, to Estremozcarnes, Lda.
We are currently present North to South of our country, and stress the growth in the international market.
